Forest Time
Forest Time is a turn-based puzzle game in which you help forest dwellers collect the resources they need and complete other tasks in their daily schedule.
You control characters and plan their actions to get everywhere in time.
For each level, there is a list of must-do tasks that you must complete before time runs out. There are also nice-to-do tasks that add extra challenges and are needed to unlock the next stage.
Characters can harvest resources and interact with the environment and each other.
The game has 16 levels organized in 2 stages and 3 different character types with their own mechanics.
Characters
Hedgehogs
- Collect berries and mushrooms
- Can chat with each other
- Some don't like to be noticed by outsiders
- Don't farm twice from the same spot
Foragers
- Follow the set routes and you can't control them
- Collect everything on their way
Witches
- Collect all resources they can find but are eager to share them with the cute little creature they meet
Zooming and panning the puzzle:
To zoom use mouse wheel To pan — right-click + drag Apple magic mouse or touchpad should also work for zoom and pan.
Future Plans
Our nearest future plans are:
1. Create new levels.
2. Explore the possibilities of adding character and environment animations.
The master plan is to have 12 stages representing 12 months of the evenly distributed between 4 seasons of a year!

Very fun little puzzle game! I like little puzzle games where you have to accomplish a certain amount of tasks in a limited amount of moves. I love the cozy feel of the game, as well as the music and sound effects.
The only thing I feel could be better would be if the game wasn't such a small window. I'm glad I could zoom in on the level, but it actually took me a while to figure out that that was even an option. If there was an option to toggle fullscreen, or change the screen size in the options, I think that would definitely make it easier for me to enjoy the game.
Again, love the game, and the hedgehogs are definitely cute in this setting!

We have plans to make in-game controls for the level zoom/pan. But it isn’t at the top of our priority list yet.

This is a really good game! I admire it in many ways - it just feels so well thought, crafted with care and everything is just fitting nicely together!
What I find particularely amazing: our team was once brainstorming quite intense over a very similar setup and just couldn't get it work. I mean, just look how similar it is!
This makes your game even more shine, as you found a nice mechanic in that realm which is so versatile in how it can be applied.

Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad you like the Forrest Farming. It is indeed remarkable how visually similar our ideas look. Forest Farming was conceived during the Cozy Autumn Jam of 2023. I don’t remember the exact steps in which the final idea was formed, but you are right; it is rather fascinating how versatile it is.
We have many more characters that we would like to place in our world and hope to find time to implement them later this year.
